Laura Cortez: a Dominican-American female; a rescuee from the Deutsche Bank construction Carly Sanders is a 7-year old girl who was in the Deutsche Bank building at the time of the attack. She is a compassionate girl who new cares for people. Steven Kanarian: a White male; the EMS supervisor in the Bronx at the time of 9/11 (actual) Steven Kanarian is the EMS supervisor on 9/11. Kanarian and his team were assigned to Ground Zero, where they found close to no bodies under the debris. He is determined, the most courageous person in the story, and compassionate.
